Vogue Fashion Festival Overview

IMG VogueOn November 10th, 2018 the Vogue Fashion Festival conference in Paris, France held their fourth and last session hosting presentations by Ashley Graham, Lucien Pages, and Jean-Paul Goude. It was refreshing to hear people from within the industry speak so openly and freely about their experiences and how that informed their insights.

Mrs. Graham, US based fashion model, spoke proudly about her triumphs and failures throughout her career being a plus- size model. She explains how she was able to influence the industry and break down social boundaries of the way in which we understand beauty and fashion. Lucien Pages a fashion advertising and PR consultant of Lucien Pages Consultancy ditches the standard method of media advertisement by forgoing the need for a website and relies heavily on instagram as a media platform. Surprising at that was to hear, he knows what he is talking about. Former consultant for Jacquemus, Pages directs young brands through the process of branding and public image. And lastly, but definitely not least, Jean-Paul Goude is introduced  to the audience with a nearly five minute long montage of his best work, impressing the audience and building excitement for the big finale. Goude vocally illustrates his passions, inspirations, and experiences as they informed his creations as an artist in the fashion advertisement industry.

Overall the Vogue Fashion Festival was truly remarkable. Hosted in collaboration with Swarovski at Hotel Potocki, the once “fashionable salon of Countess Emanuela Potocka” a Polish nobel–representing nothing less than a location of historical luxury. The theme for this year’s festival was “New frontiers.” For more information about the panels for the fourth session keep reading!
